COVID-19 Preventative Guidelines

April 22, 2020

We hope you are coping in this difficult time. If you need any emotional support please let us know.

To be able to keep our patients and staff safe we need to put some strict procedures in place.

Please notify our rooms and do not attend your appointment if you have been in contact with someone that has been confirmed to have Coronavirus or if you or someone you live with has a fever, cough, sore throat or other respiratory symptoms.

Your temperature will be checked on arrival at the hospital.
You will be required to wear a face mask for all of your appointments with Dr Joe.
Please bring your mask to every appointment. We are in the process of trying to purchase some face masks for our rooms, but there are delays in receiving any stock.

If you do not have a face mask, a scarf will also be acceptable.

See video and link on making your own:

We are unable to add more seating or spread the existing seating out in our waiting room, so we ask that once you have checked in with me at reception if there is no suitable seating available, please stand until you are called somewhere where you have sufficient space (1.5 meters) from other people in the waiting areas

Alternatively, you can sit in your car and we can call you when we are almost ready for you, but you would need to let me know you are doing this so I am aware to call you.

Unfortunately, we also need to request that you do not bring a support person or children with you to your appointment, we have been asked to reduce traffic coming into the Hospital and into our suites.

Your appointment with Dr Sgroi will not exceed 15 minutes. Dr Joe is able to provide telehealth for longer appointments.

We will wipe down our scanner with disinfectant between each scan.

Dr Joe strongly recommends getting the fluvax for all pregnant woman & women who are planning a pregnancy.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

We thank you for your co-operation, and we apologise in advance if you have received this email for previous appointments with Dr Joe, however we need to keep confirming the new process.
