Gestational Trophoblastic Disease (GTD), or molar pregnancy, is a rare complication where the placenta grows abnormally and the baby cannot survive. Treatment involves removing the abnormal pregnancy and monitoring hormone levels. Further treatment may be needed for persistent disease.
